APPLICATIONS & BENEFITS OF CMC & PAC
CMC has vast applications & benefits :
Paint Industry

Paint Industry
CMC used as thickener, binder, film former and suspending agent. Improves brushing performance of paints and restrict crystalline growth of fillers. CMC is used in water-soluble paints, plastic emulsion paints and in dry & oil bound distemper.
Textile Industry

Textile Industry
CMC as a thickener in printing pastes and as an ingredient in various finishes.
Oil Well Drilling

Oil Well Drilling
CMC use as a Conditioning agent for their drilling mud and also role as water resisting agent.
Detergents and Soap

Detergents and Soap
A very special property of SCMC is to stop the redeposition of dirt particles on to the cloth in laundering process. Addition of a small amount of SCMC to detergents especially a synthetic detergent results in a marked improvement of its soil suspending properties. Synthetic detergents as a class are comparatively poor in this respect and the practice of adding SCMC to them is universal. SCMC is most beneficial in the laundering of cotton.
Ceramics Industry

Ceramics Industry
CMC is used as a coagulant, water-retaining agent, thickner and stabilizer for ceramic. CMC is used in Ceramic embryo, glazing pulp, coloured glaze separately in ceramic production.
Foodstuff Industry

Foodstuff Industry
CMC is widely used in various kinds of milky drinks and condiments and plays a role of stabilisation, taste improvement and thickening. In addition, CMC is also used in ice cream, bread, cake, biscuit, instant noodle and fast paste foodstuff for product moulding, taste improvement, anti-fragmentation, water retaining and tenacity strengthening.
Tobacco Industry

Tobacco Industry
CMC is used for binding tobacco flakes in tobacco industry. it is also used as thickener.
Pesticides Industry

Pesticides Industry
Sodium Carboxymethyl Cellulose Pesticides Insecticides Grade. It acts as a protective colloid to stabilize and control the viscosity of the pesticide emulsions after applications its adhesive properties function to hold the active ingredients without impairing their effectiveness.
Cosmetics Industry

Cosmetics Industry
CMC is mainly used to thicken and to stabilise cosmetics but due to its polymeric structure that acts as film forming agent, CMC is also used to improve moisturising effects. One of the main CMC applications in the cosmetic industry is the toothpaste formulation.
